Well in Hand Learning

Small practices for big moments.

Guided practices, simple activities, and series for children and the grown-ups beside them. Each one has been used with real children before it reaches you.

If you’re worried your child is behind

First, listen to your child. Hear who they are. Engage in what they love.

Know that you’re not alone, and that you’re not a bad mom or a bad dad. You’re someone who cares about your particular child, listening with love to understand what your child needs and to help them love figuring out how they learn.

I know this from experience, as an educator, as a mom, and as a person: really listening to your life matters for health and well-being. Your life is leading you and teaching you. You’re on a journey that’s precious and unique, and it’s also tethered to every other human being who has ever been on earth. So do not lose heart.

Be encouraged by our little Davis stories. If anything here shows you that you’re not alone, and that you have what it takes to respond to the moment in front of you, then I’ve offered what I hoped to.

Be well.
